Kierno is one of the most successful singer/song writers in the city of Manchester. He has been featured on many TV and radio stations, and is still recognised as one of the biggest names in Manchester.
Kierno's career has spanned 20 years, he has headlined every iconic club in Manchester and was the founder, singer/song writer of one of the city's favourite and successfull bands 'Lazy Charlotte'.
Kierno is currently working on his first solo album, he has written and co produced all material. His first solo single TIL THE MORNING released 01/11/19 available on all forums. Watch the music video on YouTube.
Kierno is a professional rock and roll singer based in the city of Manchester. With Thousands of people following Him on Facebook! He is a professional lead guitar player and also plays piano and has been credited as one of the finest song writers in the city of Manchester. He has been featured on TV many times and always played live acoustic songs with amazing ratings on each appearance, where most artists always ask to be pre recorded, this was not the case with Kierno, which led to many TV producers saying he's one of a kind and nothing fazes him even on live television. He has been featured hundreds of times on various radio stations, mainly talk shows on prime time slots, with the public taking to his quick witt and comical responses to both the audience, other guests and presenters with some saying they found him so funny they could hardly carry on the show, he says it as it is! And People really enjoy his original material. From a very early age he dreamed of being a star, mainly following the showbands in Ireland learning his trade, always seen at the corner of Declan Nerney stage, as his uncle Noel Sweeney would take him along to the shows. His Mother is an award winning song writer and musician, Mary O'Brien and her husband Sean Sweeney is one of the finest musicians in Ireland. He moved to Manchester at the age of 19 where he started working for one of the biggest music venues in Manchester, Night & Day, handing out flyers promoting other bands. He soon became very good friends with the owner of the club, Jan Holdenburg, who offered him a slot for 2 songs on a Friday night playing acoustically. Those 2 songs eventually turned into 12 as the crowd went estatic with his music. He was then offered to headline Night & Day with his new formed band Lazy Charlotte. Nobody could believe what happened next, the band completely sold out the night, Kierno had officially put his stamp on Manchester. The band went from success to success touring, they then released their first ep which completely sold out within a week. They then went on the D Fest Festival with 30 bands playing over 3 days, Lazy Charlotte completely sold it out and their music was played on every radio station in Manchester. However band with many different members lasted over 20 years until Kierno decided he wanted to go solo. He is now working with some of the best producers in the city at Coytso studios, Manchester, where some of the biggest rock/pop stars in the world have worked. Kierno built a great rapport with both the producers, managers and sound engineers, with all parties agreeing to make his first solo album, which he says is his finest work so far. Kierno now works with a full band of professional session musicians, mainly friends he has met along the road. He will be announcing a UK and European tour next year.
